Why We Do It
Bohannon Financial’s mission is to help people achieve their financial aspirations. This genuine pursuit of goals is engrained deeply in the Bohannon Family. In 1981, Gordy Bohannon was on the Universiy of Iowa football team that went to the Rose Bowl; the first time in over 20 years. He was inspired by his coach who mentored him in how to reach his goals. “Coach Hayden Fry just sold us on where we were going, not where we had been.”
Gordy took what he learned from the Iowa Football program and instilled those values in his personal and professional life. With those values as his foundation, Gordy built a successful business in the financial services industry focused on helping individuals, families, and businesses.
Gordy and his wife Brenda have raised four sons, each of whom has experienced success in athletics and their respective careers. Gordy attributes much of this success to the influence and support his sons received from family, mentors, and coaches along the way.
In business, Gordy draws parallels between receiving guidance from coaches and mentors, to working with a financial advisor. Investing in financial markets comes with ups and downs, and sometimes it feels as if there is too much risk and emotion. However, with the support and guidance of a financial advisor you can evaluate risk, focus on facts, and address the challenges of investing head-on.
At Bohannon Financial, our advisors focus on what is important; they help you craft a disciplined,
diversified, risk mitigated approach to investing. Each day Bohannon Financial takes their
commitment to you seriously; making your goals their own and applying their experience, insights, and care to help you reach your goals. The financial advisors who are part of Bohannon Financial are committed and believe that “You” are their “Why” for being in this business.
